トレイルランの家

今日はヒヤリングです。
オーナーとは敷地で待ち合わせです。
約束の１時間前に到着して敷地をくまなく歩きまわります。
山あり谷あり、まるでクロスカントリーです。

竜の背のような尾根筋が敷地を横断して道路に潜り込みます。
建築の背骨はこれに沿って計画をすればよいのです。
道路から車が進入して停めるところは低いレベル。
そこから背骨に沿って登っていきます。
途中に一部屋、登りついて広いパブリックゾーン、
水回りを挟んで一番奥地がプライベートゾーン・・・・。

難解な起伏のある土地も、読めてしまえばすぐにあるべき家が見えてきます。
初雪が降り始めた寒空の下、オーナーのライフスタイルをヒヤリングしながら、
この敷地にあるべき家の在り方の話を織り交ぜながら、
たくさんお話しいたしました。

オーナー夫妻はランナーなのでした。

Before meeting with the owner, we walked around all over the premises.
There are a mountain and valley.
It seemed as if we played a cross-country.

The site is undulating very much.
But if we know the land well, we could see a house that we should have.

I listened to a lot of stories about the lifestyle and the ideal house from the owner.
The owner and his wife are runners.
They must enjoy their house.

現場と住まい手から得たインスピレーションを忠実に絵にしてみます。
絵とはすなわちデザイン行為。
第三者に考えを伝えるための技術です。

背骨スケッチからラフプランを起こしました。
オーナーから大筋で同意をいただきました。
ここから先は起伏のある地面形状の正確な測量が必要でしょう。

測量結果を下敷きに定規を当てた基本設計図ができました。
カーポートから主たる生活空間とは約２メートルの高低差のある案です。

I will paint faithfully the inspiration from the construction site and the owner.
A picture is a design.　It is a way to convey ideas.
I made a rough plan.And I got my consent from the owner.
A basic design drawing has been completed.

私はＣＡＤが使えません。（使いません？）
橋爪フェローは大いなる味方です。
少ない図面情報からとりあえずインテリアパースをＣＡＤで起こしてくれます。
インテリアに関する情報は矩計図ただ一枚だけ。
想像力を駆使して起こしてくれます。


トレイルランの家でも大きく吹き抜けたリビングダイニングは
大きな梁が大胆にあらわしとなる絵を起こしてくれました。
「なるほどこう来たか・・・。」
修正液と色鉛筆でガリガリとスケッチを重ね、どうやら空間がまとまってきつつあります。
この家のインテリアには梁は露出させないことにしました。

矩計図も修正です。

I can not use CAD=Computer Aided Design.
Fellow's Mr.Hashizume is good at CAD.
He creates an interior parse with CAD from my handwritten drawing information.
Aiso,He makes drawings using his imagination.

The trail run house has a large ceiling living dining.
He wrote a picture with a large beam there.
"I see· · ·. "
I make plans using that as a reference.
Then,I decided not to expose the beam to the interior of this house.
I changed plan.

広大な敷地です。
どこに家を造るのかは自由、だと思ったら大間違いです。
傾斜地であればできる限り高いところが良いでしょう。
雨水や地下水の影響を受けにくいからです。
森環境の中ではそうした高いところをつないで獣道となっている場合が多いです。
獣も人と同じで足が泥で汚れたり、浸水したりするところに路はつくらないものです。

高いところをつなぐルート、すなわち尾根です。
そこに沿わす素直な建築のありようを探っていきます。

外観模型がまとまりました。

It is a vast site.
If you think where you are building a house is free, it is a big mistake.
If you plan to build a house on a sloping ground, it would be better to build as high as possible.
Because it is not affected by rainwater or groundwater.
In the forest environment, in many cases it connects such high places and becomes a beast road.
Beasts are the same as people, they hate where the feet get dirty or flooded with mud.

It is a route connecting high places, that is a ridge.
I will make it straightforward

インテリアパースもまとまりました。
窓の外の広葉樹の森もはめ込みました。
橋爪君ご苦労様！

オーナーには散々検討をした結果をご覧に入れるわけですが、
設計者の検討材料としてインテパースはとても有用なものです。
空間把握がリアルになって、「あれ？ソファからＴＶ観れないのはまずいな・・・・」

構造的に２階を支えるための柱がリビングに露出せざるを得ません。
まず５０φの鉄柱にして存在を薄くしましょう。
そして、これを軸に回転するＴＶキャビネットを取り付けましょう。
ソファからもダイニングからも試聴できます。
柱は邪魔者でなく存在の意義が与えられました。
基本設計ではいかにオーナーとイメージを共有できるかが大切になります。

The hardwood forest which can be seen from the window fitted there.
Me.Hashizume, Good Job!

We will review it over and show the results to the owner.
Interperse is very useful as a designer's review material.
Space became real, "It is bad that you can not watch TV from that sofa ..."

Structurally, the pillars supporting the second floor will have to be exposed to the living room.
If that is the case, let's make it thin by making it a steel column.
And let's install a TV cabinet that rotates around this.
They can see it from the sofa or from the dining.
The pillar was not disturbing but was given the meaning of existence.

長野県と群馬県の県境にお社がある熊野皇大神社。神を祀り工事の安全と家の繁栄を祈願する地鎮祭を水沢禰宜（ねぎ）に執り行ってもらいました。
トレイルランのベースキャンプともいえる軽井沢の住まい。本日はランニング仲間のお友達も参加です。いよいよ工事が始まります。

Kumano shrine in the boundary between Nagano prefecture and Gunma prefecture. Shinto priest prayed for safety of construction and prosperity of the house.
The residence of Karuizawa which is the trail run base camp. Today, running companion friends also participate. Construction starts at last.

「強い大地のパワーを感じる・・・・。」
地鎮祭のご挨拶のとき私はそんなことを申しました。
エリアの中で特異な尾根筋がありそれがこの敷地をくの字に、馬の背のように、
横断していました。
PDO設計術では言うまでもなくこうした場合建築の背骨、主軸とします。
「トレイルランの家」もそのようになっています。

さて、第一報を告げた関口氏は少し興奮気味でした。
「岩盤が出てきてしまいました！」
家の形の通りに岩盤があるようです。
道理でパワーを感じるわけです。
軽井沢発地ではほとんどの場合地盤改良が必要な柔い地盤です。
でもこのような地形になっているここだけは大きな石が出ることは
覚悟してはいました。
まさかひとつながりの岩盤とは・・・！
とにかく鉄平石のように固く巨大です。

早速現場に駆けつけました。
関口氏、地盤改良技術者と協議です。
光波測量で正確に磐の位置を図面に落とし、
それ以外の部分について砕石パイル工法の地盤改良とすることにしました。

磐の上に建築せよ、とは聖書の教えにもあるように、
家、住人にとってはこの上ないことでしょうが、
建築する側にとってはとても大変なこと。
岩盤の末端はちょうどリビングルームのど真ん中なのです。

"I feel the power of the earth ...."
At the time of Groundbreaking ceremony, I said such a thing.
This land had a unique ridge line and it crossed this land.
In such cases, PDO design will be the backbone of the building, the main axis.
"Trail run house" is also like that.

Well, Mr. Sekiguchi who told the first report was a little excited.
"The bedrock has come out!"
It seems there is a rocky street in the shape of a house.
The reason for feeling the power was this.
In Karuizawa origin, in most cases it is a soft ground that requires ground improvement.
But on the topography, this land was ready for big stone to come out.
It is hard and huge beyond expectation anyway.

I went to the land quickly.
We discussed with Sekiguchi and ground improvement technicians.
We confirmed the position of the rock accurately by light wave survey and made it into the drawing.
I decided to make the ground improvement of the crushed pile construction method at places other than house.

As building on the rock, as in the teachings of the Bible,
It is very good for home and residents.
But it is very difficult for the building side.
The end of the bedrock is just in the middle of the living room.

We are digging while struggling with the bedrock. For the construction of the crushed pile construction method, we will create a horizontal surface according to the foundation base.

大きく2段に分かれる基礎です。
それでなくても墨出しの難易度が高いへの字形。
入隅の配筋は芸術作品のように入り組んでいます。

磐を削りとって築いた基礎。とても安心感があります。
基礎屋さん本当にご苦労様です。
多くの残土がてんこ盛りになっていましたが、
結局は元通りの地形に極力復旧するとともに、
家の在り方と親和させるために人為的整形も施します。

本来の林床にあった野草たちが元通りになるには
何年もかかるでしょう。住まい手の手助けも必要です。
どうしても仕方のないことです。

寝室となる正面に岩盤が露出しています。
ここからパワーがみなぎっています。

Foundation built by shaving rock. I feel very secure.

We restored it to the original terrain,

Power is here everywhere.

予報通りに上棟式が始まる頃に降り始めた雨。晴れ女の建主、今回ばかりは神通力も効かないかと思いきや子供たちがたくさん集まりはじめ、まさに餅まきが始まるという頃には雨も上がりました。

由来は災いを祓う神事である散餅銭の儀。時代も代わり、未来のコミュニティ・ご近所さんへのご挨拶です。みなさんとてもいい顔してました。遠い過去の記憶にあった餅まき。大人も童心に帰って楽しみました。

It began to rain around the beginning of the first building ceremony. Owner of a sunny woman, I thought that the power of God would not work this time, but a lot of children began to gather and the rain ceased when just the mochi maki began.

Mochimaki who is a shrine exhaling evil. It is a greeting to the future community · neighbors now. Everyone looked very nice. Mochimaki that was in the memory of the distant past. Adults also enjoyed having gone to their children.

屋根が折り重なるのびやかな外観はこの家の成り立ち、環境との連続性を
表現したものです。

断熱工事が完了しました。
私の設計に珍しく、天井裏が多い設計です。
室内から見て森景色を低い軒先が阻害することなくするために決めた矩計によるものです。

オーナーはじめまだ完成空間のイメージがつかないことでしょう。
細工は流流仕上げを御覧じろ・・・。
徐々にヒューマンスケール空間が現れてくることでしょう。

The insulation work has been completed.
It is unusual for my design and it is designed with many overheads.
This is because low eaves do not obstruct the view of the forest when seen from the room.

It will be impossible to imagine the completed space yet.
Human-scale space will gradually emerge.

私もこの仕事は長いですが、天井下地組に先立って階段造作をすすめる大工さんは
もしかしたら初めてかもしれません。
階段は大工の腕の見せ所。
腰を据えてかからなければいけない精密工事。
普通は大工工事の中でも最後に、ということが常識と勝手に思い込んでいました。


いろいろな考え方があるものです。

I have been doing this work for a long time. Carpenter who makes stairs before ceiling and base making,
It may be the first time.
I can understand the carpenter's ability at the stairs.
It is a tough precision construction.
I thought that making the stairs at the end is common sense. There are various ways.

それにしても天井が一番後なんて工程は意地悪です。
どんなにこの日を待ったことか・・・・。
とんねるのような廊下を抜けて、
そこに拡がっていたのは夢に見たLDK空間。
思い描いていた以上のワクワク空間です。

ブログ記事にする画像は撮る前にやっぱり少しは片付けるんです。
それも忘れてシャッターを押しまくりました。
この仕事はだからやめられないんです。

せめて丸太柱に立てかけてあるボードはどかせばよかったな。

The ceiling is the last in the process.
No matter how I waited for this day ....
Through the hallway like Tunnel,
What was spreading there was the LDK space I saw in my dreams.
It is more exciting space than I had imagined.

As usual, I will clean up a little to make a blog post for taking pictures.
Today I forgotten it and pushed the shutter.

I wish I had a board that was standing against a log pillar.

トレイルランの家では雨ざらしのウッドデッキが計画にないせいか、
足場ばらしを急ぐ必要はありませんでした。
とはいうもののやはりこの日を待ちわびました。
地面の起伏と対比されて屋根ラインが美しい。
春風がスピード感をもって吹き抜けるような爽やかな外観です。

As there is no wood deck outside at the trail run house,
There was no need to rush the dismantling of the scaffolding.
Still I waited for it.
The roof line contrasted with the undulations of the ground is beautiful.
It is a refreshing appearance that spring breeze blows through.

トレイルランの家、待ちに待った完成です。連休前半の佳き日に建主検査と引渡しを行いました。そして恒例の火入れ式。軽井沢では梅雨時くらいまで活躍してくれる薪ストーブです。


窓の向こうに広がるトレイルランのフィールド。グリーンインフラの再生を通し時間をかけて自然との繋がりを取り戻していきます。

The house of Trail Run is finally completed. In the first half of the holidays, the owner was inspected and handed over. And as usual, We did the ignition ceremony of the wood stove. Wood stoves are used in Karuizawa until the rainy season.
